Accommodation for 10 guests, in 5 cabins which are all en-suite: 1 King, 3 Queens, 1 Twin. All have independently controlled AC, Samsung flatscreen LED TV with access to onboard server film library with over 300 films, Sonos music system with access to server, 2 Bluetooth headphones in each cabin for late night film viewing, tablet loaded with books and movies. The very large master cabin also has a desk / dressing table and dressing area.

BAMARANDI crew information

Captain: John Crafford

Nationality: South African

John grew up on a farm near the Kruger Park in northeastern South Africa. Surrounded by acres of wilderness, he learned to ride a motorcycle before he could ride a bicycle. Growing up he spent loads of free time aboard the family boat catching fish and lobster and having fun. The family always stayed near the ocean. When John was not out with them on the boat he was honing his surfing skills. He remembers, "As a kid I always used to sit on the rocks after surfing and wish I had a yacht that I could just sail straight toward the horizon until I hit land again."

John has sailed extensively throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean including St Martin, St Barth's, Anguilla, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Guadeloupe. He is a keen diver, especially enthusiastic about sharing the undersea world with his charter guests. John is a qualified PADI Dive Instructor along with some additional specializations as well, including Nitrox.

As a charter Captain, John’s goal is to create a homey environment where people feel safe and comfortable. "People have always complemented us on how relaxed they felt on our yacht. We aim to create a vacation where CEO's, doctors, A-listers and Type A’s can just let go and feel like kids again." His motto: A positive life is a happy life.

Shirelle was raised in Israel, in a small town where people cared a lot about nature. Her family grew their own organic fruits and vegetables. For her, there is no substitute for the freshest, local ingredients when designing a menu. She recalls, “We always used to host a lot of guests for dinner. Even as a really young kid I was there to help my mother prepare food for a crowd. I loved being in the kitchen with her. She was a very talented, creative cook and taught me all different types of cuisine from all over the world.”

While Shirelle's favorite culinary style is Mediterranean, she caters to lots of different preferences, from Asian cuisine to American comfort food. As a trained nutritionist, Shirelle provides delicious yet healthy choices. She is especially creative when it comes to special or restricted diets. Shirelle will be attending the highly acclaimed Ashburton Cookery School and Chefs Academy for a month in August to further enhance her amazing culinary skills this summer and ready to welcome guests aboard Bamarandi for the upcoming season!

Shirelle's goal is to make Bamarandi a home away from home for her guests. The yacht has a superb layout, whether guests want to be together, or find a little personal space. There are lots of toys on board and Shirelle is a patient instructor for guests who want to try something new. She says, "I am really relaxed and easy going. Whatever guests need I'm there for them. I love making people happy and serving great food is my way to show happiness and love."
