Sunreef 62: IN THE WIND CATAMARAN. SAILING THE CARIBBEAN AND THEN THE PACIFIC AND AUSTRALIA

Any yacht that is going over to the Pacific and Australia catches my eye 🙂 But lets start with In The Wind being shown at the Antigua Yacht Show in December and show you the pictures that I took of this large sailing catamaran with a very enthusiastic and personable crew.

1 Sunreef 62: IN THE WIND CATAMARAN. SAILING THE CARIBBEAN AND THEN THE PACIFIC AND AUSTRALIA Alwyn and Sarah. Crew on Sunreef 62′ Sailing Catamaran In the Wind

Captain: Alwyn Coetzee Welcome aboard IN THE WIND, led by Captain Alwyn Coetzee. Sailing has always been an influential part of Alwyn’s life. Born and raised in South Africa, Alwyn has spent the last several years gaining experience off the shores of his homeland. He has accomplished both his RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and his Sailing Yachtmaster.

Alwyn is not only a qualified Captain, but has acquired valuable experience as well. Within 6 years he traveled over 40,000 nautical miles on a variety of sail and motor yacht vessels. The yachting industry is more than a job to Alwyn, it is his passion in life.

He is a highly motivated individual with a sense of determination that will exceed your charter expectations. You will be drawn to his energetic presence and impressed with his navigational expertise.

Hostess/Chef : Sarah Ciaparelli Greeted with a warm smile. Hostess/Chef Sarah Ciaparelli’s hospitable personality will guarantee a pleasant stay onboard IN THE WIND. Sarah was born and raised in South Africa. She grew up involved in her family’s hospitality business, learning from an early age valuable communication skills.

To further excel in her customer relation capabilities, Sarah accomplished her B.S Degree in Public Relations. Sarah’s previous employment in event planning along with her experience in the restaurant industry has allowed an easy transition of her many talents to the Yachting Industry.

Sarah’s cooking creativity and ever evolving menus are inspired by her family’s restaurant in South Africa. She prides herself on guest satisfaction and will go the extra mile to perfect your charter needs.

Deck hand: Daniel Duggan Jones Hailing from Durban in South Africa. Daniel comes from a family of sailors and threfore been exposed to the sea and everything related to it since early on. Very keen on experiencing new adventures, this young and enthusiastic deckhand has been part of the yacht and charter industry for 6 years.

He is an outgoing individual who easily interacts with people of all generations. Daniel has already worked with Sarah and Alwyn on different occasions and is a great addition to their loving and optimistic team!

The guest’s comfort and contentments are his priority on every charter and that is why he makes sure that each stay on board is a fun, memorable and one-of-a-kind experience.

IN THE WIND can take up to 8 guests on board in 4 double beds. The beds are mainly walk around and the heads have a mixture of separate shower stalls, and wet showers with a pull around curtain.

This yacht has plenty of cockpit and deck space along with a fly bridge for great views.

IN THE WIND has a few spots left in the Caribbean this winter before it starts making its transit to the Pacific. Fully crewed and full board charters are between $22,000 and $28,000 depending on the number of guests.

I will put up rates and dates for the Pacific when I have them.
